1. Title:

Campus Reading Corner Project

2. Introduction:

Reading is an important activity for students because it can improve knowledge, vocabulary, and critical thinking skills. However, many students today spend more time using social media or playing on their phones during their free time. On campus, there are also limited comfortable places where students can read or study casually. Because of this situation, a reading corner project can become a simple but useful solution for students.

3. Background:

The Campus Reading Corner Project is designed to create a comfortable place where students can read books, study, and relax. The reading corner will provide books from different categories such as novels, educational books, magazines, and motivational books. This project is expected to encourage students to develop better reading habits and use their free time more productively.

4. Objectives:

The main objectives of this project are to increase students’ interest in reading, provide a comfortable learning environment, and create a positive space for discussion and study activities on campus. In addition, this project can also help students share knowledge and improve their learning motivation.

5. Method / Plan of Action:

The first step of this project is collecting used books from students and lecturers through a simple donation program. After that, a small area on campus will be prepared as the reading corner. Some basic equipment such as bookshelves, carpets, tables, and decorations will also be arranged to make the place more comfortable.

After the reading corner is ready, the project will be promoted through social media and posters around campus. Students will be invited to visit the reading corner and participate in reading activities or small group discussions.

6. Budget:

The estimated budget for this project is around Rp800.000. The budget will be used for buying bookshelves, decorations, carpets, stationery, and promotional materials. Some books will come from donations, so the project can reduce unnecessary costs.

7. Expected Outcomes:

This project is expected to create a positive reading culture among students. Students will have a comfortable place to study and spend their free time in a more useful way. Besides improving reading habits, the reading corner can also become a place for discussion, sharing ideas, and building better communication between students.

8. Conclusion:

In conclusion, the Campus Reading Corner Project is a simple and meaningful project that can give positive benefits to students. By providing a comfortable reading space, students may become more interested in reading and learning. This project can also help create a more productive and supportive academic environment on campus.
